The conference was jointly organised by the European Commission and India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and aimed to facilitate the deployment of advanced renewable fuels in the EU and India. It was primarily addressing an audience of technology developers, industry representatives and investors in value chains, producing low carbon fuels for the decarbonisation of transport in European countries and India.
The EU-India advanced biofuels conference has, since its start in 2018, taken place during the India Smart Utility Week, in New Dehli.

3rd EU-INDIA conference on advanced biofuels

The European Commission's Directorate-General for energy and India's Ministry of petroleum and natural gas are jointly organising the 2nd edition of this conference.
The aim remains the same as last year: to facilitate the deployment of advanced renewable fuels in the EU and India. It is primarily aimed at technology developers, industry representatives, and investors in value chains producing low carbon fuels for the decarbonisation of transport in the EU and India.
India has an ambitious policy to install several advanced biofuels plants by 2020 and this offers significant opportunities for EU companies to participate in this impressive undertaking.

This event, jointly organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy and India's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will aim to facilitate the deployment of advanced renewable fuels in the EU and India. It will primarily be aimed at technology developers, industry representatives and investors in value chains producing low carbon fuels for the decarbonisation of transport in European countries and India. It is planned to hold an invitation-only business to business meeting on 6 March, and for the conference to be followed by a technical visit to a large-scale demonstration renewable fuel plant.
